Christ in Glory and Tabernacle, 1967

On seeing an image of Kaish’s Moses, Mississippi-based architect James T. Canizaro commissioned her to make a “very devotional and powerful” bronze figure of Christ for the Holy Trinity Mission Seminary Church he designed in Silver Spring, Maryland. Weighing 3,300 pounds and measuring 13 1/2 feet tall and 10 feet wide, the monumental Christ figure is a compelling work in high relief. Kaish's Christ in Glory radiates a celestial presence that infuses the chapel with a sacred spirit.
